Russia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as in the sectors led shares.

At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index unchanged 0.00%.

The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Gazprom PJSC (MCX:GAZP), which rose 1.52% or 1.92 points to trade at 127.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Mobil’nye Telesistemy PJSC (MCX:MTSS) added 0.85% or 2.00 points to end at 236.75 and Aeroflot PJSC (MCX:AFLT) was up 0.61% or 0.34 points to 55.96 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bank VTB PJSC (MCX:VTBR), which fell 0.32% or 0.28 points to trade at 88.60 at the close. Magnit PJSC (MCX:MGNT) declined 0.19% or 6.50 points to end at 3337.00 and Sberbank Rossii PJSC (MCX:SBER) was down 0.15% or 0.46 points to 313.54.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 158 to 75 and 15 ended unchanged.

The Russian Volatility Index — RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged 0.00% to 24.99.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.67% or 83.50 to $5080.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $66.39 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.14% or 0.10 to trade at $71.30 a barrel.

USD/RUB was down 0.03% to 76.72, while EUR/RUB rose 0.04% to 90.39.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 97.73.
